Counsellor
I graduated as a medical doctor from Christian medical college Vellore, one of the most premier institutes in India. I have 22 years of clinical experience, both in India and in Singapore, where I have been able to take care of both medical and psychological needs of my patients. I completed MSc in medicine ( research) with NUS in 2009 and have been working as a general practitioner in Singapore since 2010. I have completed my Post graduate diploma in counselling with the College of Allied educators. I am currently working as a counsellor, in conjunction with my medical practice. I am also pursuing a certificate course in CBT for youth with NUS.
My interests are patient centred therapy and CBT. Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have consistently been drawn to the practical and goal-oriented nature of CBT. Professionally, I have worked with diverse populations, including individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders. These experiences have underscored the importance of equipping clients with tools to challenge and modify unhelpful thoughts and behaviors. I have seen how CBT’s structured framework can empower clients to make meaningful and lasting changes, fostering resilience and promoting overall well-being. I look forward to collaborating with my clients to bring some positive changes in their life.
