Dr Richard Lim, PsyD USA, is the Founder, Director and Clinical Supervisor of The Relational. He is a Senior Mental Health Consultant in Singapore and has also worked extensively in the region and beyond. Other than the focus on attending to high anxiety and deep depression due to varying degree of trauma, his expertise is on relationship wellbeing and repair. He has worked for more than 22 years with families, couples and singles in enhancing communication, emotional intimacy and sexual wellness. He provides sex coaching and sex therapy-informed relationship counselling and coaching with an emphasis in overcoming barriers and inhibitions to effect authentic wellness in intimate relationships and self-care. He uses relational psychodynamic approaches with mindfulness based cognitive behavioural approaches and somatic experiencing in the work with clients. Dr Richard is committed to creating a safe, secure, and warm space for his clients to get access to expert driven information, professional resources, and an inclusive community in which to learn how mental health, relationships and sexuality are integrated. He provides talks, webinars, support groups and retreats regularly. He is also a qualified Group Psychotherapist trained in the USA.
